WIU TECH repairs industrial gearboxes and gear reducers, including helical gearboxes, hollow-shaft worm gearboxes, worm gear reducers and planetary gear reducers. We're based in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, with on-site inspection and pickup across KL, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan. Inspection is free when you go ahead with the repair.

How we repair a gearbox

Inspect and diagnose
We check the gears, bearings, seals and oil condition.

Strip down and clean
The gearbox is fully dismantled and every part is checked.

Replace worn parts
Ball bearings, taper roller bearings and oil seals are replaced, and damaged gears are repaired or replaced, using quality parts only.

Realign, refill and test
The gearbox is realigned if needed, flushed and refilled with the correct oil or grease, then test run.

Report and return
You get a repair report, and we return the gearbox or reinstall it.
How much does a gearbox repair cost?
It depends on the gearbox type, size and which parts are worn. WhatsApp us a photo of the nameplate for a first estimate. You'll get an exact quote after inspection.
Can you repair the motor and gearbox together?
Yes. Geared motors can be repaired as one unit: both the motor and the gearbox.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace a gearbox?
Usually repair, when the housing and main gears are still good. If replacement makes more sense, we'll tell you and can source a suitable unit, including from other brands. See: Repair or replace?
